David George is an active Musician and Music Educator with diverse experiences in the professional Music and Education industries.
Previously, the Head of Music (Secondary) at Waverley Christian College in Wantirna South, Victoria, for 8 years, he will be taking up a new position in 2019 as the Director of Music at Loreto Mandeville Hall Toorak, Victoria.
Overseeing a staff of 40 classroom and instrumental teachers and tutors, along with 35 large and small ensembles, David’s skills in Music Department Leadership continue to be utilised and grown.
Teaching Prep to VCE classroom Music, saxophone, clarinet, flute while directing Jazz Ensembles, Symphonic Bands, Massed Choirs and Symphony Orchestras inside and outside his paid employment, David’s diverse skill set is of significant value.
He has provided many valuable and varied opportunities for students to experience and connect with Music in new and exciting ways and since 2011 he has been an asset to the growth of Music at WCC and Loreto Mandeville Hall.
David has achieved a ‘Master of Music Technology’ from University of Newcastle in 2015 as well as a ‘Bachelor of Music’ and a ‘Bachelor of Teaching’ from The University of Melbourne in 2008.
David is a passionate leader with a servant heart, humility and integrity who aims to encourage and inspire all students, staff and community to thrive in their gifting.
